This the view from our apartment that we always come back to in Torremolinos. We’re in the back corner of the top floor of Bajondillo Apartment Hotel looking toward Malaga, the Mediterranean Sea and the Sierra Nevada mountains in the distance. This is a great deal for under $43 a night.

We often get to know our next door neighbors. Antonia and Phillip where here from, I think, Austria to complete in some Triathalons that were being held here.

We would make trips into Malaga (population 600,000). They have a big port where cruise ships and super yachts visit. This is one of those billionaire super yachts in the background. They are impressive but they don’t vote. We do.

On our regular walks along the sea, we get to know vendors that make their living along the way. This wonderful woman makes jewelry and sells it on the small bridge between Torremolinos and Benalmadena. We buy things from her to give away as gifts.

We have gotten used to there being no Thanksgiving wherever we go, but wouldn’t use know, Black Friday has gone global. Here they even rolled out a red carpet for the consuming public.

One of the big events in November is when Malaga turns on their Christmas Lights. This street has over 600,000 LED lights and they go on and off to music.

Malaga is also home to the famous cubist artist Pablo Picasso. Maybe this tree was one of his inspirations.
