The CIA recently released this photo taken in 1960 near Minneapolis. I don’t know if it is the same object I saw. But it is the right time, right place, right shape, right time of day, could be the right size and could be the right height. I was much closer and saw much more color, but reflection of sunlight or some other cause could have taken the color detail out of this photo (in addition to it just being black and white).
