Boquete in January

Our small apartment high above Boquete.
The back of the apartment was right in the jungle with a small stream and lots of bird life.
Yes. Big leaves.
To get down to town, there was a shortcut. Steep shortcut.
The shortcut was too challenging for Charlotte, so instead we walked along the long winding road down to town. It was about a 40 minute walk.
Boquete is a special town with a lot of progressive, welcoming businesses.
On Sunday mornings we gather with ‘Basura Busters’ and we spend two hours cleaning up trash from the streets in Boquete. Then we retire for refreshments at the end.
Our World Passports arrived! We really believe in one world without borders, so we are thrilled to become World Citizens.

Playa Corona

Playa Corona is a small rural beach community on the Pacific Ocean about a two-hour drive west of Panama City. Coronado is the nearest bigger community about 15 minutes to the east. We cat sat for some friends for six or seven weeks in their seventh-floor apartment right on the beach.
The Apartment
Beauty
In addition to taking care of their cat, Beauty, we walked every day and picked up all the trash on nearly every road in the community.
Sometimes we got some help with beach cleanup.
On holidays there might be a couple hundred people on the beach. Other days there was hardly anyone there.
We had a pool, but the ocean water was clean and warm too.
I love trees and this is my favorite one on the Pan-American highway a couple hours out of Panama City.
