Coming from Vienna, we flew over the southern Alps.
Flying into Spain from the northeast, we find areas where wind power is very developed.

When the Sahara sand storms were at their worst we had to stay inside. The entire world turned orange. Thick sand covered every surface, every building. Months later many buildings are still covered.

This beautiful statue is in the miniature golf course next to our apartment. Made me think of the contrast between how well things are kept up here vs other places I have lived.
Regularly feeding the birds eventually gets them more trusting. Now I have them eating out of my hand.

At the far end of our 3 mile walk along the sea, in Benalmadena, there is a restaurant called Casabianca. We stop here regularly for their hot chocolate. Sometimes it is as thick as pudding. We love it!
This was the day Charlotte vowed to only have one drink when we go out to eat.

We’ve continued our trash cleanup. Here we have picked up dozens of bags of trash and many bags of plastic, metal and glass recyclables.

A weekend food fair featuring foods from nearly all south American countries and many other places. My favorite was Venezuela and their arepas.
There is a weekend nearly every year where a king and queen from another small European country come and spend time on the Costa Del Sol. It’s an occasion for an all out party in orange – one of the colors of their country.
It may not look like much, but you go through that gateway and shopping stalls go on for about a mile and then loop back on another adjacent street all the way back. Huge. This is the Tuesday Market in Los Boliches.
